Nature to me is very peaceful and relaxing. When I was a little girl, in the summer time, I would always sit outside with my dad whenever he would cut the grass. Being outside with my dad during this time was the best. Whenever I would be outside with my dad, I would always examine everything in the hot sun. Sometimes, I would pick up some sticks and I would play with the rollie polies and make them curl up into a ball and watch them uncoil themselves. My favorite part about being outside with my dad was watching the little ants crawl on top of these little rocks in my driveway. Amazingly, the tiny ants were all in a straight line picking up little pieces of grass and little tiny rocks. Often, I would grab my little magnifying glass and admire the ants as they worked intently to get to their home. Watching my dad cut grass was always fun, but I was never fond of the smell of fresh cut grass; it did not agree with my nose. Since I had an obsession with Barbies when I was younger, I would take my barbies outside with me to enjoy the fresh air and watch the clouds go by as my dad tended to the yard. My neighborhood was always quiet, it was very peaceful whenever I would go outside. I never understood why I liked to go outside when my dad would cut grass, but it was always a bonding experience with my dad and nature. Almost every two weeks my dad would cut the grass, this proved that the grass grew very rapidly in the summer. If my dad missed a few spots, I would go behind him and find the dandelions in the yard, make a wish and blow them for good luck. That small gesture always made me happy. I guess I consider being one with nature would mean watching your father cut grass, play with rollie polies, and make wishes with dandelions. My experience with nature is pretty comforting.
